JAKARTA - NEWSFLASH

September 2008

6th - ***LYLA*** is back from the vets after an emergency C Section at 3.30am this morning. Sadly Lyla lost her litter. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she makes a full recovery as the vet said I got her there 'in time'. Although she developed toxic shock while at the vets she was allowed to come home this evening and she is currently curled up on the sofa wither her orange duck blanket and cteddy, she has eaten 2 meals and drank two bowls of goats milk and also let the neighbours know she is back with her deep bark. Her litter was due today so god only know what went wrong - it was not meant to be. Because Lyla has been through such a major operation and trauma I will not be mating her again - she is not worth loosing. Thank you so much to everyone to have taken to time to telephone and email me.

28th - The litter of puppies being advertised on Epupz mentioning my affix WILL NOT be registered under the JAKARTA affix. All Jakarta puppies have always had FULL KC endorsements which will not be lifted unless relevant health tests have been undertaken and I am consulted in advance of a potential mating . If you are looking for a puppy carrying the Jakarta affix please contact me direct.

20th - LYLA tested NORMAL for HYPOTHYROIDISM

19th - Jakarta's Cortigiana Onesta (Bree) has achieved her Kennel Club Good Citizen ***GOLD*** Award! WELL DONE Chris and Tracey for the hard work and commitment you put in with training Bree. Keep up with the Obedience you are doing great!

4th - LYLA has been mated to CHAMPION Purroma Dark Impressions at Jasprico JW ShCM (Max).

25th - It is a bit early but I thought I would announce that it is my fathers 80th birthday on the 28th May 2008!

**We are thrilled that All puppies were sold by 6 weeks and living in their new homes by 8 weeks***

We look forward welcoming two super boys: Spider (Jabberwocky) and Dakota (Rebel Yell) into the show ring in September.

5th - Jakarta's Jabberwocky (Spider) remains in Lincoln with his new family.

1st - Jakarta's Fashionista (Sheena) has gone to live in Nottingham.

April 2008

30th - Jakarta's Rebel Yell (Dakota) has gone to live in Hull.

29th - ***Puppies are 8 weeks old today***

22nd - ***Puppies are 7 weeks old today***

Jakarta's Turning Japanese (Rio) has gone to live in Milton Keynes.

Jakarta's Shadow Boxer (Shadow) has gone to live in Milton Keynes.

Jakarta's Queen of Hollywood (Ruby) has gone to live in Messingham, NE Lincolnshire.

21st - Puppies have started to go and live with their wonderful new families:

Jakarta's Jet Li (Jet) has gone to live in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

20th - ***ALL PUPPIES HAVE BEEN SOLD***. We also have several bookings for Max x Lyla later this year, if you are interested in this promising litter please get in touch ASAP.

16th - ***HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY*** to our wonderful Musta Man! Never thought we would get to 5 without any grey hair but we managed it!

March 2008

30th - We have 1 black & rust puppy bitch available.

13th - We currently have 2 Dobermann Bitches available, both black and rust, born 04.03.08.

10th - Very sadly today we had to say good bye to one of the puppies. One of the boys had not been feeding from mum or thriving like his siblings and hand feeding him was not helping him. After a long time in the vets on fluids and painkillers it became obvious that we were fighting a loosing battle. After talking to our vets we made the difficult but only decission we could. Our vet helped our little man on his way to Rainbow Bridge. At least we know we did everyting we could to save him but for some reason it was never meant to be. Run Free Little One - we wont forget you xxx

9th - ***BREE*** Jakarta Cortigiana Onesta has passed KC Good Citizen SILVER Award at only 12 months - what a magnificant achievement for her owners Chris and Tracey. WELL DONE!!! I knew you would do it. Bree only just missed out on the gold by not having a perfect emergency stop. Chris and Bree will be attempting their GOLD Award in the near future. An amazing award for such a young Dobie!

8th - ***LYLA*** although entered at Crufts 2008 I decided not to show her this year. Still on a high from the 2007 wins I decided to have a break. I look forward to qualifying Tuuli and Minnie for 2009! Storm and daughter Lyla will also be there but as they are now retired from full time showing they will only make occasional appearances at Champ Show level.

4th March - ***STORM*** has had her babies: 5 males and 4 females all BLACK & RUST.

20th - ***STORM*** is HUGE! Still 2 weeks to go and Storm looks like she has eaten two Watermelons. Poor baby is waddling round like a duck but she has the new sofa all to herself so life isnt all bad :-)

18th - ***CONGRATULATIONS*** to Bree-Bum (Jakarta Cortigina Onesta) for her showing and obedience success at The Midland Dobermann Club Yesterday. Despiote being just 12 months old Bree won VHC in Junior Bitch and 4th in Novice. Bree-Bum and her owner/handler Chris then went on to win 4th in the Pre Pre Beginners Obedience Class - at their first ever attempt - hoorah!

16th - ***STELLA*** is much better, although still on antibiotics - her 7th lot - her biopsy results were nothing serious and her stitches should come out on the 21st - hoorah!

10th - ***HAPPY BIRTHDAY 4th Birthday to Stella's only daughter Jakarta Femme Fatale (Zoe)***

6th - ***STORM*** has been mated. She will be scanned at the beginning of February. Please keep your fingers crossed for us and our prospective puppy owners.

4th - ***STELLA*** is recovering nicely from her operation, one tumour was removed and I am still waiting for the results from her biopsy.

20th - ***BREE*** (Jakarta Cortigina Onesta) made her second show appearance at The Midland Dobermann Club Championship Show on the 18th and won 2nd place in Undergraduate and also VHC in Novice. She really enjoyed her day and never stoped wagging her tail or trying to kiss every person and dog she came close to. Well Done to Tracey and Chris for keeping her is fantastic condition and not forgetting the hard work you have put in training & socialising her - it has paid off as she is fearless. ***BREE*** has also achieved her Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze Award.

17th - Sadly ***LYLA*** will not be having puppies on this occasion - however we are mating ***STORM*** to Max next month - see the ***PUPPIES*** page for further information. Puppies are already booked. Thank you to those who are prepared to wait for Storms litter.

10th - ***LYLA*** is doing well. I will keep you all posted on any news and developments. As previously mentioned on the news page I was planning on cycling from Cuba to Trinidad this month for charity. Unfortunealty I will not be able to do this due to a spell of ill health. However, I do plan on raising money for the WSPA in 2008.

19th - Website rebuilt from scratch due to 50+ pages vanishing. Some pages have been totally lost but i will do my best to upload the pictures I have been sent from my puppy owners.

17th - ***LYLA*** placed 3rd in Postgraduate Bitch at Border Union. Not bad for her 1st time in PG.

12th - 'Eric' ***DOUBLE JEOPARDY*** has come to spend 10 days holiday with us while his mum and dad are on their holiday. He is a STUNNING boy with the sweetest nature. I look forward to showing Eric later this year. Pictures coming soon.

8th - ***TUULI*** has arrived. Lumi's very own playmate.

17th - New photographs added to Shenka's page ***ANGEL OF HARLEM***

12th - Jinnie brought 'Shenka' ( ***ANGEL OF HARLEM*** ) to visit today. At 13 weeks she is how a Dobie puppy should be - confident, sociable, playful, inquisitive and above all stunning. I could not help but notice what lovely DARK EYES she has. Shenka seemed to enjoy her play session on the field with Lumi. Jinnie - you have done a cracking job with her so far, keep up the good work. Shenka 'might' make an appearance at a show at Newark - look out for her - she is gorgeous! I look forward to seeing her again soon. Pictures to be posted soon.

10th - Nearly half way into 2007 and Lyla proves yet again to be consistent at Championship and Open Show level, again on her own merit. Despite gaining a wee bit of weight she has shifted her 'podge' and done us proud again. Her quality cannot go un-noticed and ***LYLA*** wins 2nd place in Graduate Bitch at the National Dog Show. Lyla will continue to be shown under discerning judges only.

6th - Lyla is placed a 3rd in PG Bitch at Birmingham Dobe (O).

18th - Our wonderful pupsters are 5 weeks old and are coming along very well. They never stop eating and playng. They are very sociable and outgoing and not phased by anything.

10th - ***CRUFTS NEWS*** After a few months break from showing 'Lyla' (Jakarta Spin Spin Sugar JW) wins TWO 1st's and ONE 2nd at Crufts 2007. CLICK HERE to see the full results.

4th - Some of you will know I am attempting to cycle 350km from Havana to Trinidad in November this year to raise much needed funds for the WSPA. Please click this link to find our more about the charity, the challenge and how you can sponsor me.

3rd - Our little 'Harribos' are 3 weeks old today. They are coming along beautifully. As anticipated they are looking very promising, we are not the only ones that are very excitied about this litter. All puppies have strong heads (thanks Harry :-)), lots of bone and are very chunky indeed, they are very inquisitive and are becoming more playful - they are great fun to watch. We cant wait until August when the chosen male and female commence their showing careers.

23rd - ***NEW*** - 'RECOMMENDED READING' added to our website. This page lists our favourite doggy books. Remember a book is not a cheap substitute for professional advise!! LINKS page also updated.

21st - Puppies eyes are starting to open. They are nearly up on their feet but topple over, bless them - they are thriving and very very strong. We have just 2 males available from this outstanding litter.

20th - We have just 3 males available from this stunning litter.

18th - Puppies are now 1 week old and doing really well. Our little 'wee man' who was only 4oz at birth is now 13oz, although he is still a bit smaller than the other 'little people' he is catching up and getting stronger.

14th - 2003 SHOW RESULTS for Terymas Sixth Sence at Jakarta ShCM J.W now on website.

12th - Storms babies have arrived (a few days early) - 5 males and 3 females!!! She started whelping at 1am on the 11th, the first baby girl arrived at 1.24am and the last puppy - a boy - at 7am. Mum and babies are doing very well. Photos to follow soon.

8th - Storms babies should be here early next week. She resembles a pot-bellied pig at the moment and we can feel her babies moving. This page will be updated again when the babies arrive.

1st - Storm is doing very well. She is eating like a horse and waddling around the house, bless her. She is also HUGE - the babies are growing well.

No show results this month as no shows have been entered.

January

18th - Wonderful News! Terymas Sixth Sence at Jakarta ShCM J.W has been scanned and confirmed in whelp. Puppies are due during the second week in February.

5th - Terymas Sixth Sence at Jakarta ShCM J.W (Storm) will be scanned on 16.01.07. Once she is confirmed in whelp details will be posted on the site. We really do hope she is having puppies. Please keep your fingers crossed for us xxx
